This is my main character Daisy and her heron friend. I'm about third of the way through this rough book now. I have started the main artwork but it still nowhere near complete! This is just a little sample for now!

I lost these guys when my old laptop died on me and i was most upset. but i was looking through old emails and found the file in a year old message! So thought i would post them on here for save keeping.

Children's book progress

Another project update, except i have cheated! I actually made this weeks ago meh! I really wanted to post the new collage work i had done for my book but it's all in separate pieces at the min so there wasn't much point. This image shows the style i will be making the book in so thought i would post it for now! i bought my website domain the other day! i chose faye-k.co.uk partly because throughout my life no one has been able to spell my surname first go, and partly because of the silly rhyme. When its up and running i will let you know:-)

Children's book progress

Today i was very silly and left my portfolio on the bus:-( According to the lost property people it was found and i will hopefully be able to collect it from somewhere tomorrow phew! However, this has encouraged me to start scanning in my work, so if i have another stupid episode( likely) i will at least have some stuff backed up.

So here are a few sketches of my main characters so far. The children are just made up from my head at the minute and i hope to find a child to model for me to get arms and legs etc a bit more accurate. Lots and lots of work yet...

Fred Butler Style

For the past month or so i have
been helping the designer Fred
Butler create some of her amazing fashion pieces. I have learned lots of random craft techniques and usually spend my Thursdays covered in paint, foil, wool, you name it! She is exhibiting at London Fashion Week so i will hopefully be helping her set up there tomorrow. Exciting stuff! If you want to see more of her work the website is www.fredbutlerstyle.com

The Little Red Hen

These images are from a project i did a couple of months back for the children's story the little red hen. I really enjoyed making work with a narrative and i am now working on another children's book for my final project. I'll post some updates of this work soon!
